| Peter King's Salute to Elvin Jones Peter King with the best British jazzmans will play Friday 20 October 2006 at The Front Room at the Queen Elisabeth Hall, London in a program Peter King's Salute to Elvin Jones. Formed by Peter King as a tribute to one of jazz's greatest and most spiritual musicians, UK players perform some of the great compositions recorded by Elvin Jones, including tunes by McCoy Tyner, John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter. Featuring Pete King and Alan Skidmore (saxophones), Steve Melling (piano), Alec Dankworth (bass) and Martin Drew (drums).
