| CMJ Music Marathon CMJ has been synonymous with innovate and cutting edge music for several decades. Long before American Idol came along, CMJ was discovering the future stars. In its 26th year, the CMJ Music Marathon will be dominating the New York scene from October 31st - November 4th at the Lincoln Center and at venues across New York City. With over 1, 000 bands, representing various music genres from Americana, jazz, hip-hop and rock performing at over 50 venues around New York, CMJ Music Marathon is certain to rock the music world to its very core.
