Southern Comfort Music Experience Hits St. Louis

Southern Comfort is returning to St. Louis to start things up with the Southern Comfort Music Experience, a free outdoor concert event, September 30-October 1, 2006. Southern Comfort has invited some friends, including several New Orleans musicians, to perform in downtown St. Louis' Gateway Mall, 9th and Market, as part of the Taste of St. Louis event.

"Southern Comfort was founded in New Orleans, so it is important to us that the music of the city be shared by friends in St. Louis and throughout the United States, " said Ken Rose, Southern Comfort, National Brand Director. "The SoCo Music Experience gives our consumers an opportunity to hear unique New Orleans music and some of their favorite national acts, while simultaneously communicating the importance of responsibility and responsible drinking."

The SoCo Music Experience is a four city music festival that is ending its tour in St. Louis. While at the event, attendees may make a voluntary donation to the SoCo Music Fund benefiting the musicians of New Orleans. Donations over $10 will receive a CD featuring a variety of New Orleans artists. Visit www.socomusicfund.org to learn more about the SoCo Music Fund and view films about the lives of eight New Orleans musicians.

The lineup features well-known New Orleans bands Cowboy Mouth and Theresa Andersson. Sunday's show features national headline acts The Roots and Son Volt.
