| Bob DeVos Live Savant CD Release Savant Recording Artist Bob DeVos will play at Live at J&R at 23 Park Row, NYC on Tuesday, November 14th with a live broadcast over WBGOJazz88.3FM and streaming on WBGO.org. Rhonda Hamilton of WBGO's Mid-Day Jazz will host this free performance and speak with Bob about his latest Savant release, Shifting Sands, which features Dan Kostelnik on Hammond B3, Steve Johns on drums and, as guest artists, tenor saxophone great Eric Alexander and percussionist Gary Fritz. Breaking the Ice, Bob's previous Savant release, garnered rave reviews throughout the jazz media and persists as a guitar-organ classic. Guitarist-composer Bob DeVos is critically hailed as "a master with a sound to die for--rich, full, deep, positive, round and warm--a brilliant knowing bebop player." At Live at J&R, Bob will be playing a blues-drenched blend of his original tunes, ballads, and jazz standards with his regular powerhouse organ group.
