The 'Glenn Miller Orchestra' at the Broxbourne Civic Hall

The 'Glenn Miller Orchestra' will be taking to the stage at the Broxbourne Civic Hall, High Street, Hoddesdon, UK on Friday 22 September. For one night only, Ray McVay directs the official 'Glenn Miller Orchestra' as they take the audience on a trip down memory lane, recapturing the sounds of the 1940s.

The show features Ray's vocal group, 'The Moonlight Serenades' and his swing jazz band 'The Uptown Gang', and there will be performances from musicians who have worked with the orchestras of Benny Goodman, Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Frank Sinatra. The show will include performances of original arrangements of classic wartime chart hits such as 'In the Mood', 'Moonlight Serenade' and 'American Patrol.' There will also be solo performances from Jan Messeder and Colin Anthony.

The second half of the show will be performed in US Army Air Force uniforms as a tribute to Glenn Miller's USAAF band and the concerts in Europe he gave during World War II.
