Coldcut Tour

The Coldcut's Sound Mirrors tour has consisted so far of over 70 shows including all the major European festivals: Eurokennes (to 16, 000 people, with Depeche Mode as support), Roskilde, Transmusical, Gurten, Vienna Jazz, T in the Park, Lovebox, Glade, Juicy Beats, Womad, Big Chill, Benecassim, Creamfields, Reading Rock etc etc.

Russia, New Zealand, Australia and India are next. The rapturous, indeed off the hook response to the show has cemented Coldcut's rep as the worlds leading live AV act. The new show is based on giant 8:3 superwidescreen projections, with a custom AV mixing system using a prototype of the new revolutionary Vixid mixer and 2 hiphop style DJs on Pioneer DVJs trading AV scratches across opposite halves of the screen. Some serious headscratching was needed to work out the routing for that and currently no-one else can do it!

Recognised by the cognoscenti as Daddies of the scene, Coldcut have, once again, upped the ante for live AV acts and remain in pole position: no other act comes close to playing their size of audiences, has a rep of such global reach, and can realise an album AND show of original material that is yet cutting edge VJ focused. The DVD of Sound Mirrors is released in late Oct on UK label Ninja Tune, featuring 10 of the freshest video directors collaborating with Coldcut. Coldcut have been shortlisted for Best Electronic Artist at the BT Digital Awards.
