| She Wants Revenge: Tour Plans Nine months ago, the heralded duo She Wants Revenge ( Adam "12" Bravin and Justin Warfield ) headlined a sold-out hometown show at the historic Troubadour, in Los Angeles. Now, with sales of their acclaimed, self-titled debut approaching 250,000, SWR are gearing up for a return to L.A., this time to headline the legendary Greek Theatre. The Greek Theatre performance is one of many that the band has announced on www.shewantsrevenge.com, where they have posted their tour plans for the remainder of 2006. Their current headlining club tour kicked off Sept. 6 in New Orleans, LA, and runs through Sept. 30, in Tempe, AZ. Following a two-week overseas trek, they return to America for a co-headlining tour with Placebo that launches Oct. 19 in Sacramento, CA, and runs through Nov. 9, in Washington D.C. She Wants Revenge will then headline another club tour -- with support act Pretty Girls Make Graves -- Nov. 10 through Nov. 25, before wrapping the year with additional dates in France and Germany. The tours will cap what has already been a busy year for Bravin and Warfield. Following the Valentines Day release of She Wants Revenge on Flawless/Geffen Records, the duo have concentrated on spreading their dark and brooding brand of dance music to American audiences. Hand-picked by Depeche Mode to be direct support on their North American tour, SWR have performed at such marquee festivals as Coachella, Lollapollooza, and the KROQ Weenie Roast, and have made live television appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Late Show with Dave Letterman," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live." write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
