Al Di Meola: New Album And Concert Tour

Al Di Meola is embarking on his first electric tour in 15 years in support of his brand new album. Consequence of Chaos (Telarc), due in stores Sept 26, is a contemporary set of fifteen original compositions. "This is really a new and refreshing period for me, " says Di Meola. "This recording marks my return to playing solid-body electric guitar in the context of modern concepts and composition. I love the energy and the fact that I have reconnected to my first love."

Al Di Meola has been known throughout the world for the past two and a half decades as one of the most prominent virtuosos in the contemporary instrumental jazz field. His career has spanned a wide range of evolutions from his days with Chick Corea's Return to Forever to the triumphant trio with Paco De Lucia and John McLaughlin. While Di Meola has sold more that six million records (including three gold albums) and won countless guitar awards in his prolific career, the jazz fusion pioneer continues to push himself and his music forward.

Uncompromising and unafraid of creating expansive musical hybrids, Consequence of Chaos makes it clear that this guitar virtuoso's undeniable talents continue to evolve and grow. Friday, September 29 Al Di Meola will perform at The Concert Hall/ NYC.
