Gala Charity with Jazz Legends

Greater Paterson Opportunities Industrialization Center will hold their 35th Anniversary Gala Black Tie Affair "An Evening with Ambassador Andrew J. Young" hosted by Legendary WBLS Personality Hal Jackson at New Jersey Performing Arts Center on Friday, September 29, 2006.

This spectacular event will include performances by Grammy Award Winner Marcus Miller and a few of his celebrity friends: Al Jarreau, Rachelle Ferrell, and KEM. Also, Ron Grant & friends: Kelly Price and other surprise celebrity guests will provide entertainment in the VIP reception while guests of the general reception will enjoy the salsa sounds of the legendary Salsa King and MP Recording Artist from Puerto Rico Anthony Cruz and his orchestra.

"An Evening with Ambassador Andrew J. Young" will acknowledge the achievements of local leaders in government, business and community. Paterson New Jersey Mayor Jose "Joey" Torres, Businessman William Ayers, Jr. and Paterson New Jersey Superintendent Dr. Michael Glascoe are among the honorees. Also celebrated artist Alonzo Adams will feature a solo art exhibition. "We are very excited that Ambassador Young, Marcus Miller and other very talented celebrities have joined with us to put on this charity event that will help OIC raise funds to continue the work of changing lives by providing educational training to people who have limited options, " said OIC board chairman Travis L. Williams.
