| Horst Zaspel Joins Forces with MLA Records Legendary German guitarist Horst Zaspel of Germany has signed with MLA Records starting with an international re-release of his solo EP "It's For You." Horst is one amazing guitarist from the Kassel / Hohenkirchen area. A man of varied interests, Zaspel is not only a Producer, Composer and Guitarist; but a Gourmet Chef and Nurse as well, which helps him bring a varied outlook to his music. His musical tastes range from a relaxing New Age sound to raw metal such as Accept and Judas Priest. Having spent many years on stage, Zaspel's experience has ranged from hard rock to blues and has been a driving force behind the bands he's played for. A true original, Horst's holds very strong in his roots and claims influences from several other priceless originals, such as: Queensryche / USA; Dream Theater / USA; Tesla / USA; Gary Moore / Ireland; ZZ-Top / USA; Walter Trout / Netherlands; Axel Rudi Pell / Germany. "I love to play Guitar and try to gave my best ...but I admit, sometimes it just doesn't always work", quipped Horst in his humble style. "I travel every year to the States, especially to meet my best friend Bob 'Boboo' Fox, an absolutely great Guitar Player from Omaha, NE, and some other Friends who do Music. For me itīs this my 'special part' of the year where I get to meet new people and learn new ideas. It's great to meet them all, to have nice times with them and see what they do. Whether it's in a Practice Room or on Stage, it's an experience just to learn from them and many times I have the great pleasure to sit in with them as well. A very special occasion for me was to meet Walker Caine the first time and He gave me a chance to play and produce "Headlights on the Highway". It turned out to be the first single off of his Soft Shoulder CD. What a trip! Thank You Walker!" It's a rare glimpse of the softer side of Zaspel. Known to be one of the fine hard rock and blues guitarists, Horst breaks some rules with a soothing instrumental sound from a previously local EP release. "Horst is a walk-on favorite with nearly every band he meets on his visits to the U.S and seems to make friends wherever he goes. We are confident that people here will welcome him as readily as we have" commented a spokesman for MLA Records, "We are very excited to be working with him".
