| Charleston Music & Heritage Festival Makes Its Debut The first Charleston Music & Heritage Festival will take place on Saturday, September 16 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Daniel Island. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Al Green, known for hits like Let's Stay Together, Tired of Being Alone and Love and Happiness, as well as more recent gospel music offerings, will be the featured artist. Also appearing will be Chicago Blues King Buddy Guy, Drive-By Truckers, Sam Bush, K3: Karl Denson Trio, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Soul Rebels Brass Band, The Drifters Featuring Bennie Anderson, The Catalinas, Drink Small and the Plantation Singers.
