| Charli Persip at Harlem Speaks The August 24, 2006 Harlem Speaks guest was the drummer on the legendary Gillespie Eternal Triangle recording, featuring Sonny Rollins and Sonny Stitt. Concurrent with his performing activities, leading his dynamite big band Super Sound, Charli Persip has earned a reputation as a superb educator. He is currently Associate Professor at the New School of Music in Manhattan; was for fifteen years a drum and music instructor for Jazzmobile Inc., and has a highly successful private practice. He is a popular attraction at drum clinics and lecture demonstrations at the nation's most prestigious schools, such as Howard University, University of Massachusetts, Ohio State University, and North Texas State University.
