Andre Delano US Tour

West Coast fans wait with anticipation as the East St. Louis native, saxophonist Andre Delano, prepares to take the stage at the Wilson Creek Winery, Temecula, CA. Opening for Norman Brown's Summer Storm, Delano will share the stage with music veterans Norman Brown, Patti Austin, Paul Taylor, and Alex Bugnon in a one night only (August 19, 2006) benefit performance to raise money for Children with Autism. Delano also will be featured with Al Williams on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at the Long Beach Jazz Festival.

On July 21, 2006 Delano returned to his alma mater as the featured performer at Jackson State University's Battle of the Saxes. The 1994 graduate wowed a sold-out crowd including old school buddies, new fans, music enthusiasts, city officials and onlookers from every Southern state.

"The show was amazing. Each act came strapped with their unique flavor complementing each other, " Delano said. "By the end of the night, everyone was standing to their feet with overwhelming warmth and appreciation for all those who performed."

"People who have never experienced jazz or thought about attending a jazz concert are in awe, " Carter said. "Everyone -- first timers, experienced music lovers, those hearing a live jazz performance for the first time -- related to Andre's music."

This fall, Delano's release "Funkborne" off his freshman album, "Full Circle, " can be heard on the Sony BMG Jazz compilation CD "The Lounge Connection" featuring other great artists like Herbie Hancock, Wynston Marsalis, Gerald Albright, Will Downing, Alfonzo Blackwell, George Benson and many others.

"Funkborne" has also been licensed by GlobalHue, the largest multi-cultural agency in the world, to be featured in an upcoming television commercial for DaimlerChrysler Jeep. Delano's label, 7th Note Entertainment, are in discussions with several additional agencies for similar ventures.

Delano continues his musical journey with the release of a Jazz Christmas album this November entitled "First Christmas."
