| Daytona Beach Jazz Escape The Plaza Resort & Spa has been named the host hotel of the inaugural Daytona Beach Jazz Escape, September 2-4, event organizers announced today. "We are honored that Bray & Gillespie, the ownership of the Plaza and DaytonaHotels.com have agreed to take a very active role to make this first festival a great success, " said Carol Anderson, managing director of Daytona Jazz Escape. Charles Bray and Joe Gillespie are the top executives for Ocean Waters which operate more than 20 oceanfront hotels along the World's Most Famous Beach including the Plaza Resort & Spa. An estimated 15, 000 people are expected to attend Daytona Jazz Escape at City Island Park on the Halifax River. Guests will enjoy 14 performances over three days including jazz icons including Jean-Luc Ponty, Spryo Gyra, Brian Culbertson, and KoKo Taylor and her Blues Machine. "The Jazz Escape is the latest example of the cultural richness of the new Daytona Beach. We are proud to be working with their event organizers and the Daytona Beach Symphony Society as the official hotel sponsor, " said Ocean Waters Senior Vice President Doug Kosarek. The first-ever Daytona Beach Jazz Escape is a three-day festival organized by the Daytona Beach Symphony Society. The Daytona Beach Symphony Society presents the finest in orchestral music, dance and opera to thousands of residents and visitors throughout Volusia and nearby counties, bringing artists of international acclaim to the area.
