| Michael Ashanti Makes Debut Release Michael Ashanti, has just released his highly anticipated debut CD project entitled 'All Of Me'. Michael delivers soulful yet stimulating vocals that effortlessly soar over a cross-hybrid of R&B, jazz, gospel and pop. Michael's style of music has been appropriately branded as soul fusion to signify the core presence of soul and gospel-influenced vocals woven through a diverse array of sound fabrics mainly rooted in Black Music. His mastery for meshing across genre lines is best heard in his dancehall/reggaeton cover version of the hit R&B ballad "With You I'm Born Again/Contigo Yo Naci" as well as the house/tribal/gospel hybrid found in "Hold On". There are select recording artists who can transcend cultural boundaries through music. The debut release from Michael Ashanti entitled 'All Of Me' highlights such a diverse yet cohesive songwriting and vocal styling that effortlessly blends fusions of R&B, neo-soul, pop, dancehall/ reggaeton, house and gospel. At first glance, one may wonder how any recording artist can confidently merge seemingly opposing styles into one project. Yet, a deeper glimpse into the life and musical history of this recording artist, producer and arranger will reveal the sources of those abilities. Says Ashanti, "I feel that the common elements in my music are the obvious influences of gospel and soul on my vocal stylings which are woven through different sound fabrics such as R&B, house, dancehall, jazz, and even a little classical". Ashanti drew upon all of his influences and experiences to bring about the final completion of 'his debut CD 'All Of Me'. Michael became increasingly dedicated to the completion of this project after the recent passing of his mother and grandfather. Releasing the debut project through his independent label imprint of Ambassador Music Group, Michael confides, "the vision I have for my label is to unite present and emerging cultures through the fusion of diverse musical styles that represent those cultures".
