YMC Records At The Association of Recording Merchandisers Convention

YMC Records, a division of Dallas-based World Digital Media Group, today makes its debut appearance at InSights & Sounds.06, the National Association of Recording Merchandisers' annual convention in Kissimmee, Fla. Executives from YMC Records, the largest record label in Texas, plan to meet with national music retailers to provide details about the label's upcoming releases, including the first album from Ali Lohan, younger sister of Lindsay Lohan, and the much-anticipated Waylon Jennings release.

"YMC Records was founded in 2005 as a new paradigm music company to take advantage of all the new marketing and distribution opportunities created in the past few years. We created and released masters from such artists as Pointer Sisters, Jim Brickman, Al Jarreau, Patti Austin, Willie Nelson, and Vanessa Williams in 2005, and we feel that we have a great line up for the fourth quarter of 2006. With our many marketing efforts, we feel we will have product that will drive sales at retail, " said Chris Christian, CEO of YMC Records and WDMG. "A couple of our imminent releases are Ali Lohan's debut album, which will have huge appeal to the 15-and-under segment, and a Waylon Jennings album featuring previously unreleased recordings of Hank Williams songs. We're excited about our first year with Universal Music Enterprises as our distributor and we look forward to talking with the nation's premier retailers about these releases and the promotional support we're providing, including a multi-city tour and many TV appearances with Ali Lohan when the album hits the street this fall. The NARM convention is a great opportunity for YMC Records, our artists and our distribution partner, Universal Music Enterprises."

During the three-day convention, YMC Records executives, including Christian and YMC Records Sales and Marketing Manager Jacob Capricciuolo will be available to meet with retailers at NARM. YMC Records is particularly interested in sharing details about how the label will promote its albums in ways that will drive consumers to retail outlets.

"YMC Records definitely covers all the conventional bases like getting air time and placing ads with the right media, but what makes YMC Records truly unique is that we can promote these artists on TV, through our relationship with DISH Network(TM), one of our partners, " Capricciuolo said. "YMCtv produces high-definition video content that showcases the hottest indie bands laying down tracks in-studio, and YMCtv is definitely highlighting our label's artists. YMCtv will be seen on EchoStar's DISH Network, IPTV, and through mobile device downloads to cell phones and iPods, adding to the publicity the musicians receive and creating more traffic for retailers carrying our artists. YMC Records is ready to create a lot of value for retailers with our one-of-a-kind content and unique promotional activities."
