Trojan Records and Pama International

Introducing Pama International – the first new band Trojan Records have signed in 30 years. Aptly titled Trojan Sessions, Pama International's fourth CD is on sale 4th September and features guest appearances from some of the most legendary names in the world of reggae including Dawn Penn, Rico Rodriguez, Dennis Alcapone, Derrick Morgan and Dave & Ansel Collins who have recorded their first track together since 1969.
The UK's leading lights in the wonderful world of ska and reggae, Pama International are a soul-injected ska, rocksteady & dub sensation for the 21st century. Boasting an all-star cast including The Specials' Lynval Golding and Horace Panter, Fuzz Townshend (Pop will Eat Itself, Bentley Rhythm Ace), Ernie McKone (Galliano, Paul Weller) and fronted by long-time musical cohorts Sean Flowerdew & Finny (Special Beat, The Loafers).

Add to this the legendary UK reggae producer Nick Mannaseh and you have 11 beautifully crafted songs built on a fusion of all the sounds that have made Trojan releases stand the test of time.

As much a live band as a recorded one, the summer of 2006 sees the band playing a string of live dates with Nick Mannaseh at the controls to promote the new CD including some top festival appearances (Wickerman Festival, Lambeth Festival, Beautiful Days, Wasted Festival, Monmouth Festival, Rhythm Festival and many more).

Formed in 2001, Pama International have built a huge grassroots audience which is as diverse as their music attracting the youth as much as older fans of classic reggae and ska.
