| Long Live Crime Records has Signed Franki Doll Los Angeles based record label Long Live Crime Records has brought into their criminal element Orange County's favorite punk singer Franki Doll. Recently split from her former band the Broken Toys, Franki has been in the studio doing her first solo record "Twenty Minutes Past the Hour" with producer Jeff Sterzer. Although the record is a solo venture for Doll she is calling her punk rock friends to come on down and have some fun. Some of the people you can expect to see on this record will be Chckn, Casey Royer and Clinton Calton from D.I., Joey Ruffino from China White, Filthy Rich from Hit by a Semi and Sharon Needles from Betty Blowtorch. With friends like this it is no wonder the first single off the record is a hot remake of "Kidz in Amerika." Born and raised in Orange County Franki Doll has often been called in the press the "Queen of Punk Rock" it just doesn't get any more OC than that. With a life story that reads like a Lifetime MOW Franki puts her heart and soul into the music she makes. "Bringing Franki on to the label has been exciting. It is very empowering to work with strong women in music. We are happy that with everything going on in Franki's career that she chose to be apart of our family, " comments General Manger Susan Ferris. Look for the single to be released in the fall and the record to hit stores in the first quarter of 2007. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
