| IODA: great catalog from six labels IODA, the leading digital distributor, marketer, and technology solutions provider for independent music, announced new partnerships with six independent blues, roots and country labels, including the venerable contemporary blues label Alligator Records. The digital distribution deals add music from critically acclaimed and award-winning artists like James McMurtry, Bruce Cockburn, Otis Rush, Buddy Guy, R.L. Burnside and Koko Taylor to IODA's already formidable blues, roots and country catalog, which includes releases from John Lee Hooker, Woody Guthrie, Junior Wells, and Robert Johnson, to name a few. In addition to Alligator Records (Marcia Ball, Shemekia Copeland, Koko Taylor), IODA has also inked deals with Houston-based roots label Compadre Records (Billy Jo Shaver, James McMurtry, Suzy Bogguss); Mississippi-based blues label Fat Possum Records (The Black Keys, R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough) Toronto-based blues label NorthernBlues Music (Janiva Magness, Watermelon Slim, Eddie Turner); Boulder, Colorado and New York City-based jam-band label SCI Fidelity Records (String Cheese Incident, Disco Biscuits and Keller Williams); and True North Records, Canada's oldest independent label (Bruce Cockburn, Blackie & the Rodeo Kings, The Golden Dogs). They will join more than 2, 000 other independent labels around the world and utilize IODA's acclaimed, web-based business management tool, the Rightsholder Dashboard, to review licensing deals, manage and approve catalog information, access sales and royalty reports, analyze promotional data, and oversee global digital distribution of their catalogs. The labels will also be able to market their music to drive on-line and off-line sales via Promonet, IODA's groundbreaking promotional distribution network. Promonet provides qualified podcasts, blogs, Internet radio, e-zines and other promotional sites with access to thousands of pre-cleared, legal music tracks, videos, artwork, and other promotional assets from IODA's roster of leading independent labels.
