| Heernt Debut CD Release Party Heernt's debut recording Locked In A Basement will be released worldwide on June 6, on Razdaz Recordz. This band featuring Mark Guiliana (drums, electronics), Neal Persiani (electric bass) and Zac Colwell (saxophones, juno-60). Their CD release party will take place on June 3 at Ace of Clubs. Heernt's debut album, Locked in a Basement, is an adventurous statement from three creative, young, musically-footloose musicians, that is built of equal parts jazz, indie rock, and electronic. Drummer Mark Guiliana, of Avishai Cohen's trio, founded Heernt with intention of reaching audiences far and wide with un-classifiable music, and having a blast doing so. Drummer/composer Mark Guiliana, a graduate of William Paterson University, has been around the world and in the studio with Avishai Cohen since 2001. In addition, Mark has enjoyed appearances at Carnegie Hall, the JVC Jazz Festival in Paris, Istanbul Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's in London, and has recorded and performed with Bobby McFerrin, Branford Marsalis, The Jazz Mandolin Project, James Williams, Jason Lindner and many others. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
