| Dr. John Releases ’Mercernary’ Tuesday, May 23 Blue Note Records will release Dr. John's new studio album Mercernary . Following on from the release of the mini-album Sippiana Hericane (released in November to raise money for the victims of the New Orleans disaster) Mercernary is a tribute to the legendary American songwriter Johnny Mercer (1909-1976).
