| Burlington Jazz'n Blues Festival 2006 To Be Filmed This year's Burlington Jazz'n Blues Festival July 21, 22, 23, in Burlington's Downtown Waterfront at Spencer Smith Park, will be filmed in HDTV. This historical HDTV production is being made possible through a partnership/sponsorship with Canadian media giant Bell Globemedia through their Bell Vu Productions and Bell Express Vu divisions and Burlington's own Hill's Production Services. Shot utilizing the latest in HD technology and recorded in 5.1 surround sound this cutting edge production of the Festival will brand Burlington provincially, nationally and globally. The show will be initially broadcast this fall as a Bell Express Vu pay per view to their 1.6 million subscribers across Canada at no charge. The list of world class artists scheduled to appear in the three day event include jazz pianist Bernie Senensky, blues guitarist Mike Branton, trumpeter Brownman "Nick Ali", Hammond B-3 organ player Denis Keldie, Ukrainian gypsy jazz violin virtuoso Vaysil Papdouk, Glenn Anderson with Toronto singing sensation Melissa Stylinou, traditional big band jazz, Planet Earth funk extravaganza, blues legend Mel Brown, pianist, vocalist, composer, best keyboardist and composer of the year at the 2005 National Jazz Awards Laila Biali, Bruce Cassidy & the Hot Foot Orchestra, former music director Blood Sweat & Tears and current music director David Clayton Thomas, and all the way from Europe, Norwegian blues guitar virtuoso, Peer Gynt. There are more still more fabulous acts to be signed. The Festival includes pre festival and post festival parties, jazz workshop and master class, United Nations foods of the world, arts and crafts showcase, holistic expo, business presenter promenade, licensed jazz'n blues garden park patio. Lots for the entire family to getaway and enjoy in Ontario's golden horseshoe. The City of Burlngton offers many first class hotel and motel rooms to accomdate out of town Festival visitors.
