Paul Jackson Band Tour

Funk icon Paul Jackson, bass player and founding member of Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters, is gearing up for a tour of Europe and Japan starting in mid July. Pjack (as he is known in the jazz-funk circle) will be promoting the release of his latest solo album entitled "Funk On A Stick". Funk On A Stick was released last year and is receiving rave reviews worldwide and has already been picked up by hundreds of radio stations. The band features Jackson on bass and vocals, Jerry Stucker on guitar, Billy Johnson on drums, and Mark Kaye on keyboards and vocals. Pjack is probably most noted for his bass line on the jazz-funk classic Chameleon, considered by many to be the pinnacle of the fusion era tunes. Pjack's recent writing endeavors, such as "Tip Toe Through The Ghetto" and "Funk On A Stick" demonstrate his hard funk vocal style as well as his unique bass approach. The band is already working on the next album that is slated for an early 07' release. This band is so funky you should be able to smell them coming, if not check out www, pauljackson.jp for the tour schedule.
