O Nosso Amor (the follow up to the critically acclaimed Algo Mas) displays the magic of Mark Weinstein with an all star line up of Romero Lubambo on guitar, Nilson Matta on acoustic bass, Paulo Braga on drums, and Guilherme Franco and Jorge Silva on percussion. O Nosso Amor promises to be one of the top Latin jazz releases of 2006. This is an extraordinary example of Weinstein's interpretation of his Afro-Latin/Afro-Cuban style. Mark Weinstein is a jazz innovator who plays world-based jazz and postbop with world-class musicians rooted in Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, African, Jewish and Indian traditions. A Latin jazz innovator, Mark was among the first jazz musicians to record with traditional Cuban rhythm sections. His signature album, Cuban Roots, released in 1967, is a classic with Mark on trombone and Chick Corea on piano in an epic statement that transformed Latin jazz.
