| Chris Chalfant's Book of Unstandards Chris Chalfant's Book Of Unstandards release celebration will take place June 21 at Greenwich House Music School, NYC. Performers include Judy Bady, Gordon Beeferman, Micahel Braudy, Chris Chalfant, Connie Crothers, Thulani Davis, Pamela Fleming, Rob Garcia. Emily Howard, Joseph Jarman, Aaron Johnson, Joseph Kubera, Lukas Ligeti, Glynis Lomon, Elyzabeth Meade, Trudy Morse, Pauline Oliveros, Syd Smart, Berit Strong, Chris Sullivan, Ken Yamazaki and Eve Zanni. Chris Chalfant is an award-winning composer and improviser. She wrote her first composition, "The Villain and the Lady", at age sixteen. Her works have been performed at Nancy Jazz Pulsations, Czech Republic National Radio, Leukerbad International Composers Conference, Vision Festival and Femme de Piano Festival. She has several recordings as leader with Joseph Jarman, Noah Howard, Wilber Morris, Ken Filiano and others.
