Playboy Jazz at the Rose Bowl

For one special holiday weekend in May, the Rose Bowl will be remembered for hosting World-Class jazz! On Memorial Day Weekend, May 27, 28 and 29 , this stadium, proud home of UCLA Bruin Football, Fourth of July celebrations, concerts, religious services, filmings and the world's largest flea market will turn over its field to Playboy Jazz at the Rose Bowl presented as one of five events under the "Pasadena Summer Fest" banner.

Returning for its second consecutive year to present an exciting all-new line up, Playboy Jazz at the Rose Bowl — a music medley of old and new traditions — takes the audience from straight-ahead traditional and Big Band Era Swing to the smooth sounds of Contemporary Jazz, then sprinkles in an eclectic mix of Latin Street Music, Salsa, Afro Caribbean and Latin Jazz, and rounds out the music flavors of the weekend with a pinch of Smooth Pop Funk, to present nationally recognized artists along with some of Southern California's best musicians on the scene today.
