| Free Concert Featuring Cleveland Blues Guitarists "Cleveland Blues Guitar Explosion" on Wednesday, May 10 on the Main Stage of the Rock Hall's Museum will be presented by Cuyahoga Community College and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Featured bluesmen in this all-star lineup include Travis "Moonchild" Haddix, Austin "Walkin' Cane" Charanghat, Alan Greene, Frank "Silk" Smith, Butch Armstrong, Frankie Starr, and Bob Frank, all backed by the multiple award-winning Blue Lunch. Special guests include the local winners of this years' Guitar Center "King of the Blues" competition. The concert will also celebrate the release of the CD, "Cleveland Blues Guitar Summit-Volume One" from Tri-C's Crooked River Groove Records, a product of the innovative Recording Arts and Technology program. This CD will feature 12 tracks of distinctive blues by the eight featured performers, including two blistering no-holds-barred jams. CD producer and RAT director Tommy Wiggins states "Cleveland has always been a blues town, and the guitarists on this CD represent over 200 years of dues-paying, guitar slinging bar room blues. It's a must-have listen for anyone who digs real Cleveland music." The CD is available in area record stores, online at http://www.crookedrivergroove.com and will be available at the concert. Proceeds from the sales provide support for Tri-C's Recording Arts & Technology program. Tri-C's recording arts associate degree program is the only one in Ohio. Students train under professional audio engineers, producers, and faculty members to learn skills required for the highly competitive audio industry.
