| Two Clare Teal Songs Chosen for ’Confetti’ Soundtrack Two songs written by Clare Teal have been chosen to feature on the soundtrack to the hilarious British comedy "Confetti". "Messin' With Fire" and "Everything Is You", both performed by Clare and taken from her top 20 album "Don't Talk", were personally requested by Director Debbie Isitt for her film about the competition for the most original wedding of the year. Fox Searchlight will release Debbie Isitt's Confetti on 5 May 2005 throughout the UK and Ireland. Confetti brings together an impressive ensemble of top UK comedy talent, which includes, amongst others, Martin Freeman ("The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", "Love Actually", "The Office"), Jessica Stevenson ("Spaced", "The Royle Family"), Stephen Mangan ("Green Wing"), Robert Webb ("Peep Show"), Felicity Montagu ("I'm Alan Partridge"), award winning comedian Jimmy Carr and Alison Steadman ("Topsy Turvy", "Life is Sweet"). Confetti follows three couples as they fight it out to win Confetti Magazine's competition for the 'Most Original Wedding of the Year'. At stake is a £500, 000 dream house, a cover shoot with Confetti and, of course, the most special day of their lives. We follow couples Matt and Samantha (Martin Freeman and Jessica Stevenson), Josef and Isabelle (Stephen Mangan and Meredith MacNeill) and Michael and Joanna (Robert Webb and Olivia Colman), from the excitement of being chosen as finalists through the eventful weeks of preparation to the Grand Final. Confetti was filmed in the UK over six weeks and was co-financed by BBC Films, Wasted Talent and Screen West Midlands. Confetti is directed by Debbie Isitt ("Nasty Neighbours") and produced by Wasted Talent's Ian Flooks and Ian Benson ("The Weekend", "The Misadventures of Margaret") with Nick Jones and May Chu co-producing. This is the second time this year that singer and Radio 2 presenter Clare Teal has been asked to provide music for a major British Film. In January she recorded an exclusive track "Some Things Are Meant To Be" for the film "These Foolish Things" which received a Royal Premiere in London on March 8th. Confetti premieres in the UK and then will be released worldwide by Fox Searchlight. The accompanying soundtrack (on Sanctuary Records) will feature both songs written by Clare. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
