Nick Jerret Releases Jazz Clarinet 1942-45 Live Cuts

Nick Jerret along with jazz quartet members, Shelly Soreff (piano), Bob Costa (bass), Sauly Wiseman (drums), and Marsha Drake (vocals) have released raw, uncut live jazz tunes recorded in New York clubs circa 1942-45 to be put into a jazz collection today.

The cuts are from clubs all up, down and around 52 street, in the early mid 40s at places such as Onyx, 3 Deuces, Kelly's Stables, Famous Door and even Manny's music store. Several cuts from 78 rpms were enhanced and added along with fabulous live cuts from a piece of jazz history.

It has been Jarret's wishes to have these songs release in the form they are, pure uncut live jazz and early recording from east coast jazz greats, such as these are to be a favorite in any jazz lovers music collection.

Jerret has spent all his years as a band leader, teacher and mentor to some of the best names and talents in the history of Jazz. These are tunes and playing styles that to this day have never been duplicated, although attempts to imitate have been born into other styles, these are truly songs that are marked as Jazz history.

If one is investigating jazz, music or Jerret further, they can find a truly inspiring story behind the melodies of these songs released for enjoyment after being kept in the BeBop Jazz archives for over 63 years.
