| The Atomic Grind Show Releases Debut CD At Ars Nova, April 20 The Atomic Grind Show ( Shane Rettig - Emcee, Keyboards, Samples; Joel Garland - Dynamic Male Vocalist; Christian Parkess - Tenor and Alto Saxophone, Clarinet; Geoff Zink - Bass; Matt Moore - Drums) launches its new self-titled CD on April 20, at Ars Nova's "Thursdays at Ten" performance series. Step right up to witness a unique musical experience with special guests, The Scallywag Side-Show, straight from Coney Island. The Atomic Grind Show entrances audiences in backrooms, speakeasies and circuses throughout Gotham. The Atomic Grind Show is a unique music venture that goes beyond the identity of a band and infuses its sound with a vintage Coney Island sideshow vibe. The Atomic Grind Show has been performing its bizarre mix of musical variety in venues from CBGBs to the Cirque du Soleil cast and crew party, and from Otto's Shrunken Head to Brooklyn's Galapagos. The Atomic Grind Show original songs run the gamut, from the politically-charged, arena-rock sound of "Evil Doers" to funk and jazz tunes bemoaning the love and hate appeal of a "Park Slope Mamma" and the New York City subway system. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
