| Albert Castiglia CD Release Party in Miami Albert Castiglia celebrates the release of "A Stone's Throw" with a special night of music and friends featuring special guests, Graham Wood Drout & Iko-Iko on Friday, April 21, 2006 at Tobacco Road in Miami, Florida. Castiglia's twelve-song release features several songs written by Drout as well as several performances. The release comes just under three months following the live and acoustic duo of Castiglia/Drout's record, "The Bittersweet Sessions" for Little Silver that last week entered the Roots Radio charts at #24 as an independent release receiving worldwide radio play. For his young age, Castiglia has history -- Blues history. In 1990 he joined The Miami Blues Authority and won "Best Blues Guitarist" from New Times Magazine in 1997. The legendary Junior Wells discovered Castiglia and immediately hired him as his own guitarist/vocalist on several world tours. After Wells' passing, Castiglia toured with Atlanta blues singer Sandra Hall and then ventured out on a solo career and released "Burn" working with his longtime friend, Graham Wood Drout of Iko-Iko. "A Stone's Throw" is his sophomore national solo release for Blues Leaf Records, available as of the event date in major retail outlets. Having just released "The Bittersweet Sessions" with Albert Castiglia, Graham Wood Drout is a Miami legend that has worked with a literal "who's who" of Rock, Blues and Country music. Highlighting his more than 25 year career, Graham Wood Drout's band, Iko-Iko, has presented performances in the films "Cape Fear, " "Contact" and AAA/Blues/Alt Country radio favorites, "(I've Got) Gris-Gris, " "Bag Me, Tag Me, Take Me Away" and now, "Big Toe" and "The Ghosts of Mississippi" that is being covered by a wide range of artists as well. Drout has received the awards for "Best Blues Band" and "Songwriter of The Year" from New Times Magazine, a Jammy Award for "Best Blues Band, " and his music was described by Blues Revue Magazine as "Soul filling ideas that flow out of [Drout's pen and into the heart of the listener...the result is breathtaking." Drout's ability to discover outstanding musical talent is impressive.
