20th Annual Mac Awards

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs 20th Annual Awards Show, will be held on Monday, April 17th at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center at Borough of Manhattan Community College. The 2006 MAC AWARD nominees were announced Tuesday, March 14TH at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The 2006 MAC Awards will honor Broadway and cabaret star Betty Buckley; Cabaret impresario Donald Smith; jazz singer Sheila Jordan and jazz trumpeter Clark Terry with MAC's Lifetime Achievement Award. Singer Phoebe Snow and comedian Judy Gold will be honored with MAC's Board of Directors Award and the Time Out NY Award will go to Creation Nation.

The 2006 Awards show, hosted by Lee Roy Reams, will be highlighted by performances by honorees Betty Buckley, Sheila Jordan, Phoebe Snow, Clark Terry and Judy Gold, plus hot young singer/ songwriter Ben Taylor and other members of the cabaret, jazz and comedy community including Creation Nation (comics Billy Eichner and Robin Taylor) and the nominees in the Debut category.

Also scheduled to appear at the 2006 MAC Awards are Leslie Anderson, Michael Barbieri, Klea Blackhurst, Cameron Brown, Rocky Carroll, Clifford Carter, Brandon Cuttrell, Jamie deRoy, Natalie Douglas, Adam Feldman, Eileen Fulton, Carol Hall, Randy Jones, Tracy Jordan, David Kenney, Rob Langeder, Karen Mason, Sidney Myer, Miles Phillips, Eric Pickering, Ruby Rims, Ricky Ritzel, Seth Rudetsky, Julie Wilson and others.
