Rob Zombie's New Studio Recording

Rob Zombie is returning to his first passion -- music -- playing it live and loud. Zombie's third solo studio CD "Educated Horses" (Geffen Records) hits stores today, March 28th. The album's debut single, the anthemic "Foxy Foxy, " is currently a top 10 hit at Mainstream Rock and Active Rock radio.

To celebrate the release date Zombie will be signing copies of "Educated Horses" for fans at the Virgin Records Times Square in New York City, following which he will perform later tonight at the Nokia Theatre across the street.

Zombie is the longest active artist on Geffen Records, having been on the label for over 15 years.

Additionally, Rob is the most prolific Geffen Artist when it comes to Gold and Platinum discs -- his seven is the most total number by any Geffen artist solely on the merit of their Geffen output.

Zombie is currently in the midst of "The Educated Horses Tour." The tour began March 17th in Jacksonville, Florida and will hit 34 cities. Joining Rob on this tour will be guitarist John 5 (ex-Marilyn Manson), longtime bassist Blasko and drummer Tommy Clufetos (ex-Alice Cooper & Ted Nugent). Supporting act for the tour will be goth metal band Lacuna Coil.

"Educated Horses" was produced by Zombie and long time producer Scott Humphrey (Metallica, Motley Crue), who together also produced the platinum hits Hellbilly Deluxe and The Sinister Urge. Other musicians contributing to the CD are Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Vandals) and Tommy Lee.

Zombie, a prolific video director in his own right having directed over twenty five videos, directed the video for "Foxy Foxy" in Los Angeles in mid-February. Zombie will re-team with The Devil's Rejects cinematographer Phil Parmet. Parmet has also worked on Led Zeppelin's "The Song Remains The Same" and Frank Zappa's "Baby Snakes".
