| Mon David - first place in London The final of the first London International Jazz Competition was held on Wednesday 23rd March, 2006. The semi-final took place on Saturday, 18th March, where six finalists - vocalists were selected. They were: Dan Barnett and Karlie Bruce from Australia, Filipino Mon David, Torsten Goods (Germany) and Heidi Martin with Alison Wedding from USA. Throughout the evening they were accompanied by three famous UK jazz musicians: Peter Churchill (piano), Jeff Clyne (bass), and Trevor Tomkins (drums).
