| British/Bangladeshi fusion in the Queen Elisabeth Hall From Bangla-beat To Afrobeat - this concert you can see Monday, March, 13 at the Queen Elisabeth Hall, London. An exploration of the musical heritage of Bangladesh, journeying from the sounds of the homeland through to contemporary British/Bangladeshi fusion with three great bands. Rob Fakir and Shahjahan Munshi play traditional Baul-inspired music found in the shanty towns and melas of Bangladesh. Ektaar All Stars, led by Ornob, one of Bangladesh's biggest young stars, represent the new generation of Bangladeshi musicians with a modern urban approach to the country's musical heritage. Lokhi Terra, led by London-based Bangladeshi pianist and composer Kishon Khan, mixes these with other musical traditions, from Cuban rumba to Nigerian Afrobeat.
