| Smokin Joe Rossi Announces CD Release Date Award winning blues guitarist Smokin Joe Rossi has announced that on June 26, 2006 he will release his new album "The Road Back Home". Rossi was named best new blues artist by The International Music Awards, called the hottest performer to be seen in a long time by the soundcrew at The Hard Rock Cafe after on after an electifying performance on July 28, 2005, and it was just last month when Top 40 Charts News told the story of how the blues stole the show from alternative rock; live at Rocket TV Studios before a teenage audience. In a statement to the press, Smokin Joe stated that his next release is intended for listeners of all ages. "That is one reason as to why there is much stylistic diversity. For example, "Caitlynn's Blues" and "The Gravedigger" are 2 of the songs that will appease the blues purist, "Stranger In My Bed" is for those who like that soulful R&B blues sound, While "Got That Feeling" is more for the fans of Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn." Smokin Joe Rossi's last CD, "You Got The Blues" had sold completely out of stock in under 6 months. Music analysts are predicting that his next release will surpass his first on every level as record companies are contending for signing and distribution rights. Some of Joe's instrumental work is also being reviewed for soundtracks to be used in television and motion pictures. We asked Smokin Joe how he feels about his latest success. The only response we could get out of him was; "Life is good! As long as there is rock & roll...and Kung Fu." write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
