| Alex Kontorovich's Deep Minor at Makor Alex Kontorovich's Deep Minor (Alex Kontorovich - Leader, Clarinet/Sax; Brandon Seabrook - guitar/banjo; Reuben Radding - bass; Aaron Alexander -drums;) will make its premiere performance at Makor, New York, NY at March 7th, 2006. Mixing funk, Afro-Cuban, klezmer and Balkan influences, Deep Minor is the most exciting new must-see group to hit the New York jazz scene Alex was born in Russia and currently resides in NYC. He has toured all over North America, Europe, and Israel with various ensembles including Frank London's Klezmer Brass All-Stars, Aaron Alexander's Midrash Mish Mosh, the Klez Dispensers, and King Django's Roots and Culture Band. He has been a featured guest performer with prestigious ensembles including the Klezmatics, the Toronto Philharmonia, and with klezmer hip-hop maestro SoCalled, he is also on the faculty of the KlezKamp and KlezKanada festivals.
