| Alain Cupper's New CD "COLD STATION" Released Baritone saxophonist Alain Cupper's new CD Cold Station is now available, a quintet recording with mostly originals by Cupper. Basically a swinging session with two excellent ballads and a moving blues titled Elyoniss. Pianist Ivan Paduart contributes his own original "Disconnected". Also included on the session is the rousing, but seldom heard "Muezzin" by the late baritone player Pepper Adams. Cold Station is Cupper's second("Bunga" his first) CD and with each effort he extends his composing and playing to another level. He's aggressive, pensive an all-round complete musician. Cold Station offers some warm, interesting, and exciting music. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
