| Free Seminar For Musicians Chamber Music America is presenting a special seminar for musicians, ”Web Publicity Essentials, ” Tuesday, March 7, from 1-3 pm at 305 Seventh Avenue in New York. Hosted by Bret Primack, the Jazz Web Guru who produces sites for Sonny Rollins, Billy Taylor and Joe Lovano, the seminar is designed to help musicians learn to drive traffic to their websites. The seminar is free and open to all who are interested. Mr. Primack presented a similar seminar at this year's IAJE Conference in January and reports that “it was standing room only, perhaps because of the importance of the topic. The era of just putting up a website and expecting people to visit is long gone. It's a very competitive marketplace on the web these days, and musicians must be very proactive in driving traffic to their sites.” This action packed two-hour clinic, a combination lecture, workshop, and Q&A, will be jam packed with information, suggestions, and practical advice with special emphasis on Podcasting and File Sharing. Mr. Primack is particularly enthusiastic about Podcasting because “it gives musicians a unique vehicle reach an entirely new audience, Generation iPod.” write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
