Lake Edens Art Festival LEAF-2006

The 22nd Edition of LEAFat Camp Rockmont in Black Mountain, NC, May 12th -14th, will feature New Orleans Music & Dance. LEAF will be celebrating the richness of Louisiana culture with Zydeco dancing, New Orleans brass, a “Second Line” parade, Madri Gras Indians, Klezmer music & dance, Cajun, Swing, drumming, funk, and Saturday Night will be powered by several members of the famous Neville FamilyLake Eden Arts Festival

LEAF highlights its music line-up, however, it is all the artistic offerings of LEAF combined with the setting that truly sets it apart. Discover over 40 Healing Arts Workshops such as yoga & tai chi, Folk Art Show, Juried Handcraft Show, a National Poetry SLAM with a $1000+ prize, scenic camping, lake adventures such as Zipline, Canoes, Kayaks, and swimming, Goodnight Dreamer Talent Contest, Fiddle Contest, all night long West African Drum Circles up in the mountains, Kids bedtime stories, Childcare, over 30 performers & wacky games in the Kids Village, parades, Jam sessions, and of course Culinary Arts featuring West African Dinners & gourmet festival eats. LEAF’s 22 nd Performing Arts Lineup will feature New Orleans Music & Dance, and in the LEAF tradition continue to present over 50 different cultures and genres and invites people to discover new music while enjoying traditions.
