| ECM Festival in Rome Casa del Jazz, an arts centre dedicated to the art of improvisation, presented a three day festival of ECM music in Rome on the 26th, 27th and 28th of January. On Thursday 26th, Stefano Battaglia played music from his "Raccolto"- album together with Giovanni Maier on bass and Michele Rabbia on drums. On Friday 27th, the Trygve Seim Ensemble made his Italian debut with a revised line-up that includes Russian french horn player Arkady Shilkloper as well as Arve Henriksen on trumpet, Håvard Lund on clarinets, Torben Snekkestad on reed, Lars Andreas Haug on tuba, Frode Haltli on accordeon, Kristine Martens on cello and Per Oddvar Johannsen on drums. They performed material from "Different Rivers"- and "Sangam"-, as well as new material.
