| Four 2006 Maple Blues Awards for Paul Reddick and Carlos del Junco NorthernBlues Music recording artists, Paul Reddick and Carlos del Junco, received a total of four awards at the 9th annual Maple Blues Awards held Monday, January 16, 2006 in Toronto, Canada. Toronto's Paul Reddick took home honors in two categories - Songwriter of the Year, of which he has been a previous recipient, as well as Male Vocalist of the Year. Reddick's recording "Villanelle" (NorthernBlues Music 2004) won yet another Producer of the Year award for Juno and Grammy award-winning blues legend Colin Linden, who hosted the gala event for a wall-to wall crowd at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. "Paul is certainly starting the year with a bang, " says Fred Litwin, president of NorthernBlues Music. "Having one of his songs picked up for the 2006 Coca-Cola TV ad campaign and now this, hopefully signals even greater things to come in 2006." Carlos del Junco received the award for Harmonica Player of the Year.
