| Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium Annual Community Day For seven years the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium has brought Jazz, A Music of The Spirit to Brooklyn. Max Roach, Freddie Hubbard, Randy Weston, Olu Dara and Reggie Workman are just a few of the outstanding artists who have performed at CBJC events. On Tuesday, February 7, 2006 the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium will host its annual Community Day/Press Party at Sugarhill Restaurant& Supper Club. The Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium is a not for profit organization that has promoted performing arts in Central Brooklyn since 1999. CBJC's members includes entertainment venues, individuals, musicians, community organizations, and faith based institutions. The Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium is committed to the cultural development of the under served communities in Brooklyn. Cultural development is achieved by way of artistic expressions such as dance, visual arts, theater, spoken word and music.
