| Fender Unveils 60th Anniversary Model Guitars at Winter NAMM Since 1946, the name Fender has become synonymous with all things rock 'n' roll: from Buddy Holly to Muddy Waters to Eric Clapton to John Mayer and everything in between. The company's iconic instruments such as the Telecaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass guitars are known the world over as the instruments that started the rock revolution, and they continue to be highly prized among today's hottest guitarists and collectors alike. This year, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the company, which has grown from a small operation in Southern California into the world's foremost manufacturer of guitars, amplifiers, and related equipment. As part of the celebration, Fender will introduce new commemorative model instruments that will be unveiled at this winter's NAMM show in Anaheim, California. These special Anniversary instruments--which include American Series Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass guitars--will only be available from January through December 31, 2006. The new Fender "Diamond Anniversary" instruments will come with a 2-Color Sunburst finish, a "Jewel" headstock emblem, commemorative engraved neck plate, and a custom case with an embroidered 60th Anniversary logo. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
