| Christina Courtin’s Running Kicks Perform Live in New York With a voice that draws comparisons to the likes of Janis Joplin, Terry Reid and Robert Plant and a bulldozingly intense stage presence to match, 22 year old Julliard student Christina Courtin blends blues, rock and soul to deliver original songs about heartbreak, sorrow and redemption. Courtin, guitarist Kyle Sanna and percussionist Mathias Kunzli, collectively known as the Running Kicks, performed to sold-out crowds at Nublu, Mo Pitkin’s, Pianos, Makor, Galapagos and the Living Room throughout 2005, creating new fans everywhere they played. New York City soul ensemble Christina Courtin’s Running Kicks will perform live at Joe’s Pub, 425 Lafayette Street on Saturday, January 28th at 7:00 PM and at The Stone, corner of Avenue C and East 2nd Street, on Tuesday, February 21st at 8:00 PM. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
