| Music For Images During Midem 2006 MIDEM, the World’s Music Market, will once again shine the spotlight on the Music for Images business via a series of four special events. These will include the third edition of the Music for Images conference and three listening sessions organised in association with EuropaCorp – Recall, Activision and Zync Music. MIDEM takes place in Cannes, France, January 22-26 2006. On January 24, the Music for Images conference will be a ‘must attend’ event for all music professionals involved in video games, cinema, television and advertising. Chaired by Daniel Glass, President of Artemis Records, this conference has attracted one of the industry’s most talented and highly regarded players - Aaron Walton, Founder of AWE - as a keynote speaker. U.S.-based AWE, a specialist entertainment marketing agency, is recognized worldwide for having created some of the most prominent artist and brand associations such as Pepsi and Britney Spears, Cadillac and Led Zeppelin, AT&T and Whitney Houston. The conference programme will be devoted to three critical areas of the Music for Images business. Starting proceedings will be discussion of the development and diversification of relationships between brands and artists based on exclusive research carried out by Frukt Music Agency and explored by the panellists: Deborah Shonsky, Engagement Manager – Gaming & Music, Organic Agency (US), Philippe Lentschener, CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi France, Vice Chairman Saatchi & Saatchi Europe (France), Scott Hunter-Smith, Director, Global Brand Team Coca-Cola, The Coca Cola Company (US) and Joel Simon, President & CEO, JSM Music (US). The role of music supervisors will be explored in a second panel, taking an in-depth look at what they actually do and the best way to approach them. Three specialists will be on hand to answer questions - Alex Patsavas, Music Supervisor The OC, Without A Trace, Grey’s Anatomy, Chop Shop Music (US), Maggie Rodford, Music Supervisor, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Air Edel (UK) and Jason Bentley, Music Supervisor, The Matrix Trilogy, Machine Head (US). The final panel of the day will be dedicated to music in video games and whether this creates new openings for the music industry or marks the advent of a new genre.
