| Baard's Muizenberg blues  Chrisman Baard, the Pretoria-based folk and blues songwriter/singer, will be entertaining Cape Town's music fans for one night only. He can be heard on Sunday evening 22 January at the Acoustic Café, 120-124 Main Road, Muizenberg. Famous for his acoustic rock and blues, and more so for lyrics that often give "sensitive viewers" a kick in the pants, baard's music is not necessarily for the vanilla crowd. Unsurprisingly, he is therefore no longer a favourite with certain Afrikaans cultural organisations around Pretoria… At this show, he will unpack some of his English songs too – which means mining magnates and American presidents will be allowed under strict parental supervision only.
