| NuTech Digital and Gaelic Storm Set Release Date NuTech Digital, Inc., a worldwide leader in the production and distribution of original and licensed DVD content, today announced the completion of their Hi-Definition production with Irish band Gaelic Storm and Lost Again Records. The exclusive production resulted in Gaelic Storm's premiere concert DVD, which will be released on the 24th of January, just in time for the important 2006 St. Patrick's Day promotions. The concert was produced in Hi-Definition, utilizing state-of-the-art audio and video technology, which best captured the band's energetic Celtic melodies and unique Irish style. The production taping took place on September 14, 2005, at the House of Blues in Chicago before a packed house of raving fans. Commenting on the production, Lee Kasper, NuTech Digital CEO, said, "I have produced many concerts, but none as overwhelmingly entertaining as this one. There was an amazing exchange of energy between the band and the crowd. The energy from Gaelic Storm stimulated the fans into a frenzy, which fueled the band in turn." The Group will start their U.S. tour just in time to be able to sell the first DVD they have ever performed at the venues. As a special bonus, Gaelic Storm was joined on stage for some of their songs by members of the world famous Trinity Dance Group. They have appeared many times on national television and have won Irish Dance Championships, competing against some of the best dance groups in the world. "These kids really added to the show, " added Kasper, "and they even got some of the crowd to break into spontaneous Irish dancing, too." write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Jazz News :: home page |
