New Dance Studio

On March 4, 2006, the Premier Studio of Dance will be celebrating its Grand Opening to introduce a new dance studio to the community of Bridgeport, WV and its surrounding areas. The Premier Studio of Dance will offer extensive dance and tumbling programs for students of all ages, from early preschool children to adults.

Quality is the motto at the Premier Studio of Dance and it is apparent by their award-winning instructors. The Staff for the 2006/2007 Season includes owner, Emory Oldaker and co-founder, Stephanie Oldaker, a husband and wife team from Bridgeport. Rebecca Taylor and Maxine Olson, both from Jane Lew, Stacey Fernandez from Bridgeport and Anna Pishner Harsh from Wheeling will also be instructing classes. Kimberly Goodwin, Miss West Virginia 2005, will be competing at the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas, NV on January 21, 2006, but upon her return, she will be stopping by the Premier Studio of Dance on occasion to teach a class or two.

Construction on the Premier Studio of Dance will begin on January 2, 2006 and owner, Emory Oldaker is thrilled to be installing a professional sprung dance floor as part of the project. “The floor will be the only one of it’s kind in the area and is the safest flooring for dancers and tumblers to use, ” says Oldaker. The floor will provide resistance or the appropriate friction for the style of dance and tumbling being performed. The floor will also provide the resilience or spring to help protect the dancers’ and tumblers’ joints and muscles from injury. The Premier Studio of Dance will offer instruction in Creative Movement (Preschool), Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Clogging, Irish Dance (Riverdance), Tumbling, Hip Hop, Modern, Worship Dance, Ballroom Dance, Twirling, Yoga and Pilates.
