Jair-Rohm Parker Wells Appears on "The Prostitution of Mediocracy"

Jair-Rohm Parker Wells is featured on the latest release by net label ZH27 entitled "The Prostitution of Mediocracy." Since 1985 the 'Prostitution of ...' recording project has featured an international roster of home-recording artist tossed assunder. To date a dozen audio releases document the 'Prostitution of ...'.

The present release features Jair-Rohm Parker Wells on bass guitar processed through Csound creating soundscapes and textures that enhance and bridge the contributions of the other artists on board. The set is fleshed out by contributions from: Larb - the Memphis/Louisville phenomenon, D. C.'s own V. and from Hungary Zsolt Sores.

ZH27 replaced zids.net as its online identity in December 2002. ZH27 is the code for the 27 year mission of label owner, Zan Hoffman to extensively chart new audio realms including collaborations with fellow explorers worldwide.

Zanstonean International Distribution Service was founded in 1983 to engage in postal exchange of original visual arts and printed matter. Jair-Rohm Parker Wells (October 13, 1958) is an American free jazz bassist, composer and conceptualist. He is one of the founding members of the improvising band Machine Gun. Resident in Stockholm, Sweden since 1985, he has been active internationally as a promoter of improvised and experimental music performing and recording extensively. He has collaborated with Karl Berger, Daniel Carter and Tony Scott among others.
